Nonomiya Shrine

野宮神社_vol.18_ご利益 特集

Sacred old shrine in Sagano associated with "The Tale of Genji"

A shrine that appears in the famous Japanese love story " The Tale of Genji". There is a god who has the power to form good relationships, and it has become a popular tourist spot.

The picture shows "Honden", the main building of this shrine. The beautiful moss garden called "carpet moss" that spreads all over the north side of the quiet main shrine surrounded by bamboo groves is a must-see. In autumn, the contrast between moss green and autumn leaves is wonderful.
