The shrine is widely known as a shrine of marriage, with Hiko Hohodeminomikoto, known in mythology as the god of Fortunes of the Sea and the Fortunes of the Mountains, as its deity.
0985-65-1262This is a superb spot where you can enjoy a panoramic view of tropical phoenix trees, the “devil's washboard,” a corrugated rock that continues along the coastline, and the Pacific Ocean stretching all around. The view is so breathtaking that you will lose track of time. Nearby is “Michi-no-Eki Phoenix” where you can enjoy soft ice cream and other gourmet foods, making this one of the best driving courses in Miyazaki.
Oaza Oriuzako, Miyazaki CityThis shrine is dedicated to Emperor Jinmu, the first emperor of Japan. Surrounded by a deep forest, the shrine grounds have a sacred atmosphere, and a long approach leads to the shrine gate and the main hall. Just strolling through the forest will leave you feeling purified in body and soul.
0985-27-4004This is the original shrine of Miyazaki Jingu Shrine. It is said to be the site of the imperial residence where Emperor Jinmu lived from the age of 15 until his expedition to the east at the age of 45.
0985-27-4004This park is located on a hill 60 meters above sea level, overlooking the Miyazaki city center. Visitors can enjoy seasonal flowers and scenery. In the park, there is a “haniwa-en” with an ancient atmosphere, and about 400 replicas of haniwa stand in the park.
