Kyoto folding fans with traditional and modern patterns
Kyoto fans are made by craftsmen in Kyoto and Shiga. It is made through about 88 processes, including bone making, paper making, painting, and assembly, and is truly a masterpiece created by craftsmen. Founded in the Edo period during the reign of Shogun Yoshimune Tokugawa, Hakuchikudo offers a wide range of items including traditional Kyoto fans and classic fans, stylish fans with lace and rhinestones, and collaboration items with artists from different industries. The Kyoto-sensu (Kyoto folding fan) painting experience, in which you can make your own drawing or letters into a Sensu, and the traditional Japanese parlor game "Tosenkyo" in Kyoto are also popular.
