A temple that is deeply worshipped by the imperial family of Japan and serves as a family temple. It is believed that praying to the richly colored "Yokihi Kannon" will make you beautiful.
The picture shows Butsuden (Buddha hall, a main building of temple), standing in front of the 'Ori-sando', rebuilt by the fourth Shogun Ietsuna Tokugawa in 1668. It is designated as a national important cultural property as a building with features of Chinese style architecture.
