A Japanese confectionary store popular for its Takenoko monaka (bamboo shoot cake). They also produce products that incorporate elements of Western confectionery.

Photo: Bamboo Shoot Monaka, 200 yen. Features crisp-textured candied bamboo shoots. Its cute shape is another reason for its popularity. Available in three varieties: Tamba Dainagon red beans, Kyoto yuzu, and white adzuki beans.
