For those who are new to Japanese sword culture, we recommend observing and experiencing traditional Japanese sword making. The sight of a large mallet weighing approximately 7 kg being raised to strike the tama-hagane, the echoing sound of the hammering, and the sparks flying off the hammer give a sense of the tremendous energy and power of the sword making process. Enjoy the fascination of the Japanese sword, which has been carefully passed down not only as a weapon but also as a work of art and spiritual support.
