  Eggane (Ise shrimp) cuisine

  Kimotsuki Town boasts the largest catch of Ise shrimp in Kagoshima Prefecture. In the local area, Ise shrimp are affectionately referred to as “Eggane,” which means "auspicious crustaceans." The Eggane Festival is held in Kimotsuki Town at the start of the fishing season in spring and autumn every year.

  Kagoshima Kuroushi beef is a delicious wagyu brand which won the first prize at the 12th National Competitive Exhibition of Wagyu, otherwise known as “the Olympics of wagyu”.
