There is a museum, where you can learn about the history of Kushikino Kinzan (gold mine)
Two Shochu distilleries are connecting the history
“Kinzangura,” where they make shochu in the only style in Kagoshima of storing in a cavity in the ruin of Kushikino gold mine, which once produced the most gold in Japan. Let’s go around the underground cavity by trolley and observe the preparation distillery and storage. Souvenirs include shochu made with very rare Gold koji and refined sake created to evolve authentic shochu.
