The best place to taste “swimming squid” in Minami, Osaka

The restaurant's popular dishes are swimming squid and straw-grilled bonito. There is also a private room with a sunken kotatsu (a table placed in the middle of the room) where you can enjoy your meal in a relaxed atmosphere. It is conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station. Stop by during a break from sightseeing.

The photo shows 100 g of sashimi of swimming squid for 2,600 yen (250 g for 6,500 yen, for two to three persons). Other than sashimi, customers can choose from grilled or tempura dishes.

  Straw-roasted bonito tataki 2,200 yen (5 pieces). When the fatty season is good, try it with salt tataki. It is always served with fresh slices of garlic, wasabi (Japanese horseradish) and other condiments.

  The sake tasting set includes three 60cc bottles of sake of your choice for 1,400 yen. More than 30 kinds of sake are always available, including local sake from Kochi. Rare shochu such as Maou and Moriizou are also available.

  The tatami-mat kotatsu are all private rooms. Counter seats and table seating for four are also available to accommodate a wide range of customers from small groups to groups.
