The best tongue shabu-shabu in a special space
A restaurant where you can enjoy beef tongue shabushabu and Morioka cold noodles or bibim noodles. Located on the second basement floor of the Osaka Ekimae No. 2 Building, it is conveniently accessible. Stop by during a break from sightseeing around Osaka Station.
Beef tongue is sliced vertically, not in round slices, and sliced to an exquisite thickness that allows you to enjoy the flavor and texture of the meat. Dip the beef tongue in white soup stock and serve with ponzu (Japanese sauce made from ponzu citrus juice).
The Tan Shabu Course, available only at dinner time, is 6,600 yen per person (reservations required, from two persons). The course includes three appetizers, such as salad and braised beef tongue, and flat noodles to finish.
Morioka cold noodles (thin or thick), 1,100 yen, have a smooth texture and go well with the rich soup and black pepper. Finish with a grilled rice ball (300 yen) for a complete taste experience.
Bibim noodles (thin noodles) with a spicy sauce are 1,150 yen. Add vinegar, or if you like spicy food, try the island chili peppers.
