The life and culture of the people of the Kofun and Asuka periods will be handed down to the present
A museum dedicated to ancient history where you can visit cultural properties from the Kofun period to the Asuka period. This is a perfect spot for archaeology lovers, with permanent exhibitions on each theme that are easy to understand, as well as special and planned exhibitions on a regular basis. Kits for viewing the exhibits, such as the "sarcophagus puzzle," which assembles sarcophagi, and the "straight arc puzzle," which creates patterns popular in the Kofun period, are set up throughout the museum, allowing children to experience ancient history while playing. There is also a coffee shop near the entrance.
The photo shows the exterior that won the Japan Art Award. It's worth seeing.
