A zoo in the center of a city
The zoo opened in 1915. The 11 hectare park houses 1000 animals of about 180 different species. Located in the heart of Osaka, it attracts many visitors, including tourists.
The yellow condor is raised only at Tennoji Zoo in Japan. It is one of the smallest condors, and its face is characterized by its bright color.
kiwi of the northern island of New Zealand. This rare bird is an endangered species, and Tennoji Zoo is the only one that keeps it in Japan.
The lesser panda lives alone in the forest and bamboo thickets at an altitude of 1800 ~ 4000 meters. He is good at climbing trees and is often seen resting on trees in zoo.
At Penguin Park and Sea Lion Wharf, which opened in April 2023, you can enjoy penguins and sea lions swimming around freely.
