Located close to Osaka Castle is the Noh Theatre. In a solemn space that is registered as a national tangible cultural property, you can experience the traditional Japanese performing art of Noh. Noh has a history of about 700 years and was a form of art that was deeply loved by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, who built Osaka Castle. It has been registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage and is highly regarded overseas. English textbooks are also available for the Noh experience course, so foreign tourists can participate with peace of mind. In addition, there are performances held from time to time that even beginners can enjoy. Performances are available in English or with English subtitles. Feel free to drop by and experience the world of Noh.
At Tokui Noh, you can also participate in a Noh experience after the performance. Through this experience, you will gain a deeper understanding of Noh.
