Osaka Castle Area
A famous castle in Osaka with a history that is registered as a tangible cultural property of the country
This castle was built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, but fell during the Summer Siege of Osaka in 20. The current castle tower is the third one rebuilt in 1615, and is registered as a tangible cultural property. It is a gorgeous castle with gold decorations everywhere.
The view from the observation deck on the 8th floor. To the north you can see the skyscrapers of Umeda.
The Summer Siege of Osaka, which marked the downfall of the Toyotomi clan, is recreated with 307 figures.
The Chiyobako Osaka Castle can be purchased at the museum shop for 720 yen.
