NIDEK Kyoto Tower

A landmark at the gateway to showcasing the charm of Kyoto.

Completed in 1964, the year the Tokyo Olympics were held, this lighthouse is modeled after a lighthouse illuminating the city of Kyoto. At 131 meters tall, it is the tallest structure in Kyoto city. From the observation deck at 100 meters above ground, visitors can enjoy a 360° panoramic view of Kyoto. Tickets for the observation deck can be purchased online.
