Chazuna is a place where you can have fun learning about the history of Uji and Uji tea in Uji, which is known nationwide as a tea-producing region. The highlight is the wide variety of experience programs. The matcha-making experience, where you make and taste your own matcha, is very popular with tourists as it gives you a new appreciation for the charm of tea! If you visit the museum after the experience, your understanding of tea will be further deepened. Be sure to stop by the cafe where you can enjoy matcha sweets and the shop that sells Chazuna's original teas.

Experience making matcha using a tea mill
This is a popular experience where you grind your own tea and make matcha. After making the matcha, you can prepare and taste it under the guidance of a Japanese tea instructor. This experience is held three times a day at 11:13, 14:45, and 1:3. The cost is 1 yen per person (2,800 hour). This experience includes admission to the museum.
In the matcha making experience, you will prepare and taste matcha using a bamboo whisk. You will be given careful instruction, so even beginners can feel at ease!
Outside the windows of the experience classroom, a landscaped tea plantation spreads out, recreating the scenery of a traditional tea plantation.
The museum displays the history of Uji tea and how to brew it deliciously. An app is available in four languages (English, Korean, and Chinese *Simplified and Traditional).
