This machiya cafe opened in 2015 with the aim of being a creative base, and also houses a design office and atelier. The bread used for the sandwiches comes from a nearby bakery, and the vegetables are sourced from the central market, making it an appealing choice of local ingredients. Blending seamlessly into the old townscape of Shimabara, it is a beloved space where new expressions are born.

  The shop, which is a renovated Kyoto townhouse, also features a gallery space utilizing the hallway.

  Drip coffee, priced at 605 yen, is available in five different strengths, each originating from a different region.

• 

  The restaurant is housed in a renovated townhouse that is over 120 years old. There is also a small garden inside the restaurant, giving it a Kyoto-esque feel.
