Based on the concept of "a railway culture hub that grows alongside the local community," this museum is popular as both a place of relaxation and learning for the local community. It preserves and exhibits 54 actual trains, from steam locomotives to Shinkansen trains.

  The roundhouse car is designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan, and in the center is a turntable that changes the direction of the steam locomotive.
