The Kyoto State Guest House is a national guesthouse that opened in 2005 to welcome distinguished guests from overseas. The gardens and buildings are crafted using 11 types of traditional techniques, including sukiya carpentry and plastering, while the furnishings use 14 types of traditional crafts, including Nishijin textiles and lacquerware.
The Kyoto State Guest House is currently open to the public on guided tours. Experience the beauty of Japan's finest peak while listening to detailed explanations from your guide.

Wisteria Room
This is the largest room in the Kyoto State Guest House and is used for Western-style banquets and welcoming ceremonies. The wall decoration, "Reika," is a striking piece of woven fabric featuring 39 types of flowers.
paulownia room
A Japanese dining room for serving Japanese cuisine. The seating is made of a single piece of lacquer and is 12 meters long.
The highlights are the tables and the Japanese government crest, the Goshichi Paulownia Crest, which are placed throughout the venue.
