Yanagiwara Rokkaku
Enjoy ramen while admiring the small garden
Mensho Muraji, which opened in Gion in 2015 and gained popularity as a "ramen restaurant that women can easily enter," has now opened in Yanagihara Rokkaku, a place filled with the typical Kyoto atmosphere. The restaurant, renovated from a townhouse that is over 100 years old, has an atmosphere that is full of Kyoto townhouse charm, and at first glance it would not be obvious that it is a ramen restaurant. There is also a small garden and a detached building, so you can relax and enjoy the changing atmosphere of the seasons. Popular menu items from the time the Gion main store first opened are still available, such as the pretty-looking Lemon Ramen (1,450 yen) and Tori Shiro Ramen (1,200 yen), which concentrates the flavor of Kyoto Akajidori chicken and vegetables. Enjoy every drop of the soup in this carefully designed location and spend a blissful moment.
The Shirakawa Set pictured, priced at 2,000 yen, includes ramen, special fried chicken, and even homemade matcha ice cream. It's a popular set recommended for those who want to try a little bit of everything.
