Kyoto International Manga Museum

This is Japan's first manga museum, which collects, preserves, and exhibits manga-related materials from Japan and abroad. The museum has a collection of approximately 30 items, from historical materials to the latest popular manga. There are shelves of manga scattered throughout the building, and you can freely pick up and read any book anywhere in the building.
The retro building is a renovated version of the former Tatsuike Elementary School, which was built in the early Showa period.

  The "Manga Wall" is a 200m-long bookshelf lined with 5 manga volumes from the 1970s to the present day.
