A theme park where you can experience the charms of koji, created by Kawachi Genichiro Shoten, a koji starter shop with a 120-year history. Located just a 3-minute drive from Kagoshima Airport, it's a perfect tourist spot to stop by during your trip.

The Koji Museum introduces the possibilities of koji that Kawachi Genichiro Shoten has been exploring for many years. Along with the history of koji, you can also see the process of shochu brewing and aging, providing a time full of learning and discovery.

Kirishima Kogen Beer was born in Kagoshima, inheriting the traditional brewing methods of the Czech Republic, the home of pilsner beer.
The taste of this sake, made using authentic equipment and ingredients and Kirishima's rich water, has captivated many people.


A masterpiece made with time and effort

Founded in showa 6, "Kawachi Genichiro Shoten" built the foundations of modern shochu culture through the passionate research of its founder, Kawachi Genichiro. The "Kawachikin Shirokoji" he discovered is used in over 80% of factories nationwide as the koji mold used in the production of authentic shochu.

At Kojigura GEN (Koji Restaurant), you can enjoy the fusion of Kagoshima's specialty products and koji. They serve dishes made with plenty of ingredients grown with koji, such as pork, fish, vegetables, and eggs. Be sure to try their Kirishima Kogen beer and original shochu.
